Send a Query to Lori Galvin of Aevitas Creative Management

Thank you so much for querying me. Here's what I'm looking for:
Crime Novels, Novels of Suspense or Obsession, Mysteries. (I'm not the best person for cozies)
Some crime writers I admire: Lisa Jewell, Mark Edwards, Jess Lourey, Will Dean, Catherine Ryan Howard, Alyssa Cole, Jessica Knoll, Peter Swanson, PJ Vernon, Diane Les Becquets, Amina Akhtar, Simone St. James, Alex North, Tim Johnston

Supernatural thrillers or thrillers with a hint of (or some) horror

Compassionate novels of crimes or misdemeanors that often provide the reader insight into the human condition.

Spy or spy-like novels where the protagonist isn’t necessarily a trained spy/investigator. Examples include Holly Watt’s To the Lions, John le Carre’s The Night Manager, and Chris Bohjalian’s The Red Lotus.

Historical fiction that resonates with today. Novels by Fiona Davis, Heather Webb, Heather Young, and client Phoebe Rowe's SWAN LIGHT are great examples.

Speculative fiction and science fiction that is grounded in the near future Lily Brooks Dalton and Andy Weir are a few writers whose work in this genre resonates with me.

Book Club Fiction--the type of book you press into a friend's hand because you can't wait to discuss it--includes all the above genres and upmarket contemporary fiction.

Nonfiction:
True crime
Cookbooks and foodwriting that demonstrate your expertise and for which you have a platform.
Personal development, personal finance.

I am not looking for children's books, YA, fantasy, or sci fi that isn't grounded in the near future.
I am not the best agent for military thrillers or cozies.
