Agents

To be accepted into QueryManager, agents must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:

• Be a member of The Association of American Literary Agents, or similar group appropriate for your country of residence.
• Have a positive rating from Preditors & Editors. (the site is currently unavailable while it goes through some renovations.)
• Have at least 2 sales reported on Publisher's Marketplace to qualifying publishers. (Publishers who only accept submissions from agents.)
• Be an employee at an agency that already meets the above criteria.

Publishers

To be accepted into QueryManager, publishers must satisfy all of the following criteria:

• Company must have been established for at least a year.
• Be in good standing with all business and publishing industry rating organizations.
• Have at least 2 books in print. (Books written by any staff of the publishing company do not qualify.)
• Can not be a self-publishing or vanity publishing services.

QueryManager is designed for receiving queries related to fiction and nonfiction books, and is not appropriate or effective for other types of agents/publishers, such as short stories, periodicals, or TV/film rights. For this reason, applicants in these fields will not be accepted.
